Ann Marie K Phillips, 62 of Jamestown, NY passed away October 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous six-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. She was born November 26, 1958 in Jamestown, NY the daughter of Anthony S. Galati and Sarah Foti Galati.
After graduating Jamestown High School 1976 Ann Marie worked for the James Prendergast Library, Bankers Trust, Jamestown Bowling Company, and served for 28 years as a Paraprofessional for Fletcher Elementary School.
Ann Marie loved to bake especially cookies. For every holiday and event, you would find her dining table full of cookies. She was also known to bring baked goods to her chemo nurses and caregivers. She loved her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi and was a very active member. Ann Marie always made it a point to look her best. She liked to dress well and always color coordinate her outfits and accessories. She loved to decorate her home for every holiday. Her greatest love was for her family and children, as she would open her home to babysit after school. She a had a big heart and will be deeply missed.
Ann Marie is survived by her husband, Wayne Phillips who she married August 22, 1981 in St. James RCC, her mother, Sarah “Sally” Galati, her children, Andrew (Kelli) Phillips, Amy (Joseph) DelVecchio, Adam Phillips, Her grandson, Colin DelVecchio, her siblings, Roseann (Terry) Himes, Kathleen (Dean) Benson, and Anthony (Amy) Galati. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Ann Marie was preceded in death by her father, Anthony S. Galati.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 4pm-8pm at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.
A mass of Christian burial will be Thursday October 14, 2021 10am at St. James RCC
Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
All visitors to the funeral home and Church are reminded to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
