Obituary of Sarah J Pollino

Please share a memory of Sarah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sarah Jennie (Bellitto) Pollino (92 years of age) of Jamestown, NY passed away on April 24, 2021 while a resident at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing. Sarah has been a life-long resident of Jamestown since her birth on November 3, 1928; daughter of Joseph and Sebastiana (Bessie) Bellitto. Sarah is survived by her devoted son, Sam (Terri) of Corona, California and her cherished daughter, Julie (Joe) Indriolo, of Las Vegas, Nevada. Sally’s pride and joy were her grandchildren by age: Amy (Robert) Adamiszyn, of Las Vegas, Nevada; Katie (Anthony) Camblin, of Fairport, New York; Lori Indriolo, of Las Vegas, Nevada and Samantha Pollino & Nicolas Pollino, of Corona, California. Great- grandson, Zachary Adamiszyn, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Kieran Camblin, of Fairport, NY and her dedicated and ever-present niece, Toni Ann Bellitto, of Jamestown, New York. Sally has always held a very close and loving relationship with all of her other nieces and nephews and their families. Preceded in death by her husband, Sam A. Pollino of 68 years (passed away in 2018), her sister Josephine (Jay), and brothers: Sebastian (Busty), Pete, Anthony, and Ross. Sally and her husband enjoyed a lifelong membership with VFW Post 53 & American Vets Post 726. Additionally, they spent time enjoying clubs such as: Falconer American Legion, War Vets, Moose, Eagles, and Lakewood Rod & Gun. Sally was a devoted member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Jamestown, NY and served many years on the Altar and Rosary Society. All who knew Sally appreciated her love of God, family and friends. She was always thrilled when a family reunion was planned where all could be together enjoying good food, lots of conversation and laughter. Sally did not miss a Jamestown High School class reunion—this was always something to look forward to so she could catch up with her life-long friends. Private arrangements will be made at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 111 South Main Street, Jamestown, New York. (Due to Covid restrictions, a viewing will not be scheduled) At some future date, a gravesite memorial (Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum, Jamestown, NY) will be held in honor of Sally and Sam being interred together followed by a celebration of life. The Pollino, Bellitto, and Indriolo family extends our greatest appreciation to all the staff at Heritage Green and the compassionate care nurses and support staff with Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care. Covid 19 had a huge impact to Sally’s joy of life during the last year and she dearly missed all of the visits from her family and friends but greatly appreciated the phone calls and window visits.
