Paul Evinczik, 85, of Jamestown NY passed away on the morning of November 5, 2020. He was born August 13, 1935 in Jamestown, NY the son of Mitchell & Caroline (Kelwaski) Evinczik. Paul was a lifelong resident of Jamestown, NY. He was a Graduate of Alfred State College in 1956. Paul retired in 1992 as Transportation Supervisor of Southwestern Central School (SWCS) and acted as a school bus safety inspector/examiner for many years after. Paul was recognized everywhere with his signature hat and his Indiana Jones "good looks" and witty sense of humor with his proclamation of "Welcome to America" slogan. Paul was an avid antique car and tractor enthusiast, often seen driving his Model-A or picking up extra parts for another lawnmower whether he needed them or not. Paul never knew a stranger and was loved by so many bus drivers, mechanics, teachers, friends and family at SWCS and at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Jamestown where he was a full time Minister. He is survived by his bride of 63+ years, Marguerite Evinczik, son Daniel Evinczik & wife Denise, daughter Diane & husband David Maturo and Grandson Joel & wife Alyssa Evinczik, Twin Sister Pauline Sundquist of Kiantone, nieces Emmie Keller (Sunquist) & Jullianne Evinczik, nephews Edward Sundquist & Eric Evinczik, cousins Joseph Evincizik, James Evinczik, and Joseph Kelwaski. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Mitchell & Caroline (Kelwaski) Evinczik and his younger brother Daniel Evinczik. Arrangements entrusted to Hubert Funeral Home. The family will have a small private burial in Busti Cemetery. Contact the family for other Memorial Service Information conducted by Tom Pacos.
