James Roberts, 84 of Jamestown passed away January 1, 2019 at the Lutheran Home surrounded by his family. He was born June 18, 1934 in New York Mills, NY to Peter and Helen Roberts. James' Career took him to many places. He was a corporate credit manager for Utica Mutual Insurance company, Beech-Nut in Canajoharie, NY, Norwich Pharmaceutical in Norwich, NY, Then moved to Jamestown to work for Blackstone Corp. for nearly 20 years. James then went to work for Caterpillar in Syracuse, NY. James finished out his career with Cardinal Supply in Connecticut as a corporate credit manager. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean war. James was a Deacon at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a 4th degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, as well as an avid golfer, bowler, and sports fan. He was the ultimate lifelong Syracuse fan. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lindsay Mae Johnson of Kenmore, NY and His Parents. James is survived by his loving, beautiful wife Suzanne Roberts of Jamestown, NY, his children, David J. Roberts (Cherry) of Honolulu, HI, Diane Rogowski (John) of Jamestown, NY, and Dr. Wendy Johnson of Jamestown, NY, His grandchildren, Aaron Roberts, Johnny Rogowski, Catherine Rogowski, Aubrey Johnson, Fallon Johnson, and Ejuah Adams, and his great grandchildren, Aislynn Johnson, Cora Smith, and Oren Ward. Calling hours will be Thursday Jan. 3 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday Jan. 4 10am at St. James RCC. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lindsay M.
