Mazie L Loverme, The Matriarch of our family went to live with our Lord on December 24, 2018. She was born on July 29, 1922 in Jamestown to Giacomo and Santina Gagliano. Mazie was a resident of Jamestown NY and Sun City AZ. She was a communicant of St. James Church and St. Anne & St. Joachim Church in Sun City AZ. Mazie was a very devout Catholic and was a member of the Holy Rosery Society as well as the Divine Will. She attended many religious events throughout the country as well as trips to Jerusalem. Mazie also volunteered as a celebrant and gave out communion to residents in many nursing home facilities. Mazie was very physically active. She liked working out, riding a bicycle, walking, bowling, and especially dancing. She and her husband went to many clubs both in Jamestown and Sun City and would dance the night away. They even won several dance contests. Mazie was also an excellent bocce player. She won gold, silver, and bronze metals in the Arizona Senior Olympics for bocce. Mazie stared golfing at the age of 70 and was in octogenarian golf tournaments in Az in her 80's. She was the owner, operator of LaMae's Beauty Salon for over 30 years. She attended seminars about hair and beauty to make sure she learned all the new styles, techniques, and products of the beauty industry. She loved her clients and they loved her many of whom became life long friends as a result. The people she loved the most were her family. Somehow, she managed to make time to show how much she cared for them. Mazie is survived by her sons, Joseph (Nancy) Loverme and Frank Loverme Jr, her Daughter Shirley (James) Smith, grandchildren Kristine (Fredrick) Rulander, Joseph (Mary Ann) Loverme, Kimberly (Daniel) Tedquist, and Kara (Glenn) Connon, step grandchildren, Mark (Cindy) Smith and Mindy (Steven) Worden, great grandchildren, Ryan (Adrian), Kyle, Brandon, and Karissa Rulander, Nickolas Reale, Brooke Tedquist, Matthew Lingenfelter, Khaled, Kaden, and Zayna Saidi, Justin, Trevor, Kaitlyn Loverme, step great grandchildren Caty, Reuben and Nicholas Tedquist, Derek, Carter and Madison Smith, great great grandchildren Bella and Landon Conley, Wyatt, Raylee Rulander Logan Starnes step great great grandchildren, Nicholas Tedquist Jr, Oakleigh and Braelyn Proctor-Burch, Dawson Diers,as well as many very much loved nieces and nephews. Mazie is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 68 years Frank Loverme, Brothers, Sam, Joseph (Josephine), Victor (Vergie), and Neal (Rose) Gagliano, her sisters, Rose (Bob) Saur, Josephine (Albert) Russo and Anne (Louis) Grilla and Step grandson Michael Smith. Calling hours will be Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremations Services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at St James RCC at 10am followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Send a condolence by visiting www.hubertfuneralhome.com
