Evelyn M. Parasiliti Raffa, 83 of 251 Ivy St., Jamestown, passed peacefully in the early morning of September 6, 2018, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was born in Jamestown, NY on March 25, 1935, the daughter of Peter Parasiliti, who died September 26, 1974 and Mary Mancari Parasiliti, who died September 20, 1985. Evie was a 1953 graduate of Jamestown High School and together with her husband, owned and operated Jamestown Rubber Stamp Co., Inc. for over 50 years. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. Evie's greatest joy was her family. She loved being around all her grandchildren, and they loved being around their "Nani". Evelyn loved the adventures she shared with her husband Tony, whom she married 65 years ago on September 7, 1953. She is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Raffa, Sr., one son, Anthony J. (Michele) Raffa, Jr. of Orlando, FL, two daughters, Mary Jo (Steve) Bradish and Sara Ann (Bart) Schuver of Jamestown, NY, her brother Russell (Ginny) Parasiliti, Carey, NC six grandchildren, Nicholas Bradish, Jamestown, NY, Justin Schuver, Tampa, FL, Jeffrey (Meghan) Bradish, Cleveland, OH, Jordan (Keith) Clapacs, Cleveland, OH, Alexandra Schuver, Tampa, FL, and Luke Raffa, Boston, MA, one great granddaughter, Chloe Evelyn Clapacs, of Cleveland, OH, three sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews who adored her. Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister Lee Elardo, who died September 28, 2008, also a young nephew and a young great niece. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday, September10, at St. James Catholic Church. Friends will be received on Sunday, September 9th, 3:00 - 7:00pm in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers and staff at Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care and the very special ladies of Compassionate Home Care of NY. "You all went above and beyond to treat our mom like she was your mom. We will forever be grateful!"
