Samuel S. Piazza, 96 of Palmetto, FL formerly of Jamestown, passed away Friday (December 15, 2017 in Bradenton, FL.
He was born in Jamestown on April 15, 1921 the son of Salvatore and Vicenza Sabatino Piazza.
Sam was the founder of Piazza Carpet and Tile shop with his brother Lorry. He served in the US Army from 1942-1946.
Sam is survived by his wife, Doris Piazza, his children, Carol and Gerald McFadden, Richard (Rick) and Dawn Piazza, Janet and Richard Kennedy, William Booth, Mark & Kellie Busch, John and Tracy Rausch, Ted and Terry Avery, twenty one grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, a brother Christy Piazza and the Costanzo family.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Piazza and his second wife, Irene Costanzo and by eight siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum.
The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
A Christian Wake Service will be held at 4:30 p.m.
