I was born in New York, and met Lori when I was 8 or 9. We met every weekend at the park to do macrame, she was a fabulous gymnastic person. Love to hang from the rafters of her parents barn. I am so sorry for your loss, I didn't know she was ill or in the hospital. May God bless you and your family. She loved her husband, Marion, and all of her children. She boasted about them often. May God wrap his loving arms around her, as she lives the rest of her days with Him. RIP.

We grew up on Busti-Stillwater Road together. Road the bus together, went to Girl Scouts together (remember the time she swallowed her dues, a dime) and graduated from High School together. Spent many special days at her Childhood home on play dates. Her mom with her neck brace letting us be kids. Her dad calling me Brookie and always friendly. Loved the little snack treats. Still remember eating the Cheetos (that were the dogs treat not Troyer brand cheese curls). The smoked almonds were the best. I still enjoy them as a regular part of my diet. I remember the day my sister broke her ankle as we ran to hide from Lori. She found my sister on the ground after the fall. Too many memories come to mind. We were just two of many country bumpkins from small town USA. I remain proud to say I am a New Yorker who grew up in Busti with people like Lori Galati as my friends!

I loved Lori, She was always kind and loving to me. I am praying for comfort and healing for all of her family, especially her husband, Marion (sweet man) and her beloved children. I am so sorry for your loss. My family and I were fortunate to live next door to the Galati family in Busti. I babysat Lori when she was a toddler and we had such fun dancing to Judy's and Joan's 50's music. I'm so glad that we reconnected through Facebook. A donation has been made to the Alzheimer's Association in Lori's name. I live in Toronto and can't attend the service, but my thoughts and prayers are with Lori and your family.
