Obituary of Dorothy I. Smith

Dorothy Cekalske Smith, 74, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday (August 13, 2017) at Heritage
Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing.
She was born in Dunkirk, NY on September 10, 1942 the daughter of John and Regina Cekalske.
Dorothy had been employed as a sales clerk at the former GC Murphy Co.
She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Erie, Orchard Park, NY, a son, Jack Smith, Jamestown, five grandchildren, Sierra and Amanda Erie, Orchard Park, NY., Kaylee and Chelsea and Jack Smith, Jamestown, a sister Maryann Steinhauer, Erie, PA. and a brother, Richard Cekalske, Niagara Falls, NY.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
The Rev. Mervin Lee, pastor of First Church of God, will officiate.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
The family will be present to receive friends for two hours prior to the funeral service.
