Obituary of Jacquelyn E. Smith

Jacquelyn Putney Smith, 71, of Bemus Point. NY, passed away Friday (June 23, 2017) in Olean General Hospital. She was born in Jamestown on January 30, 1946 the daughter of Earl and Roberta LaBaron Putney. Her class was the last class to graduate from Bemus Point Junior Senior High School. She was employed as a health care aide for the Resource Center and was a licensed beautician. She was a life member of Fluvanna Community Church. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating and taught roller skating. She also loved to dance. Jacquelyn is survived by two sons, Charles Smith, Myrtle Beach, SC and Corey Smith, Warren, PA, a granddaughter, Courtney Smith, Jamestown and a brother, Stan Putney, Newport News, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Smith. Services will be held at a later date and will be announced. Burial will be in Fluvanna Cemetery.
