William Cronin, 71, of Jamestown, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday (January 31, 2017) at his residence. He was born in Jamestown on September 4, 1945 the son of the late William and Ida LaValle Cronin. He was employed in construction and was a member of the Carpenter's Union. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was an avid animal lover and besides caring for his two cats, he fed stray cats every day. He had many close friends, including Angelo Pollino, Barb and Fran Chiapetta. He thought of them as siblings. He will be greatly missed. Bill is survived by his daughter, Gina Marie Cronin, Buffalo and a grandson, Thomas Michael Gustafson II, Fredonia. A Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a time and date to be announced. The Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation services is in charge of arrangements.
