Leslie Wayne Axford “Corky”, 78 of Celoron, passed away July 20th, 2026 after having an unexpected heart attack. He was born on August 17th, 1947 to Edward G Axford and Joyce E Axford (Barton). He married Judith A Axford (Smith) in 1986.

He was a longtime employee of Bush Industries and Jamestown Power Drives before retiring. He served as a Marine in the Vietnam War and earned a purple heart and various other medals serving.

Leslie loved Fishing, Building Model Airplanes, Rock N Roll, The Buffalo Bills, His dog Bear, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Leslie is Survived by his son Brandon Smith, grandchildren Anastasia (Jeremiah) Price, Katrina (Doug) Silfies, Hailey (Dylan) Axford, Garric Winterkorn, Trent Winterkorn, Ariana Winterkorn, Joseph Winterkorn, and Jonathan O’Riley, great grandchildren Keenan, Kaycen, and Kazelyn Price, Faylyn and Oliver Silfies, and Ashton and Weston Pallozzi and his siblings Steve (Marlene) Axford, Debbie (Dan) Axford, and Bill (Ohla) Axford.

He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Joyce Axford, wife Judith Axford, and his children Teresa and Jonathan Axford.

There will be no services held at this time. Inurnment will be private.
