Barbie K. Marquart, 62, of Jamestown, NY, passed away on the Ist of June of 2026, after a long battle with congestive heart failure. She was born on the

10th of May of 1964 to the late Thomas and Barbara (Issacs) Spencer in Buffalo, NY. Barbie is survived by 8 incredible children, Samuel, Amanda, Heather, Zachary, Deandra, Alexandra, Angelica and Noah. Barbie also had an incredible love for her grandchildren as well, all 22 of them. She was predeceased by her brother Arley (Butch) Spencer.

Barbie had a strong personality and always spoke her mind. She was genuine, unfiltered, and unapologetically herself-qualities that so many people loved and admired about her. In her own unique way, she was kind, caring, and always willing to be there for others. Even during difficult times, she had a way of bringing light into a room and making people smile. We hope her memory lives on through the honesty, strength, and warmth she shared with those around her, just as she lived her life-unfiltered and shining a light for others.

Barbie was a proud member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte and a deeply spiritual indigenous woman. She believed wholeheartedly in the Creator and trusted that everything happens for a reason. Her connection to her culture was an important part of who she was and remained a source of strength throughout her life.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Barbie held on the 13th of June at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at her daughter Heather's home (8977 Ball Hill RD Forestville

NY 14062). Instead of flowers the family asks that you bring a dish that reminds you of Barbie and a shot of vodka with you to the celebration.
