Charles Harlo Baker Jr “Bucky”, 72, passed away on February 5th, 2026, in his home due to a lengthy health battle. He was born on December 15th, 1953, to the late Charles Harlo Sr. and Shirley Baker. He attended
Chautauqua Lake Central Schools and he married Carmen (Bowen) Baker of Ripley NY on April
30th 2005.
Charles is survived by his wife Carmen Baker, his children Amy Baker, Martha (Mark) Griswold, Kayla Baker, Alexandra (Cameron) Pearson, Maddie Nuse, Stepsons Mitchell Bowman, Michael Coburn, Matthew Coburn, Mackenzie
Coburn, his siblings Donald Baker, Steven Baker, Robert Baker, and Nancy (David) Mount as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by parents Charles Harlo Sr and Shirley Baker, Brothers William Baker,
Michael Baker, children William Jack Baker, and Kristen Nelson
Charles spent most of his life on the knob at his family home on Chautauqua Lake. He was a
avid sportsman that was known for a few boat rescues. He built boats as a hobby and was taught how to do so by his
grandfather. Charles worked as a foreman derrick on oil rigs and built bridges all over the United States.
