Raymond Anthony Hodnett, Ray Ray “Flash” was born on March 11, 1967, to Ray C

Hodnett and Phyllis Leeper.

Ray Ray was an outstanding athlete and set multiple records while attending

Jamestown High School. He excelled at national levels, setting records and

obtaining multiple awards throughout his athletic career. He loved his family

and loved to help others. Ray Ray helped to uplift others through words of

encouragement and prayer. He will be deeply missed.

Ray Ray is survived by his mother, Phyllis Leeper (Lonnie) and his father, Ray

Hodnett both of Jamestown, his children, Farrah Cruz of North Carolina,

Raymond Hodnett Jr of Jamestown,Tanyail Walker and Essence Gilyard of Buffalo.

His siblings. Camille Hodnett of Jamestown, Vincent (Anita) Hodnett of

Greensboro North Carolina, Angel Hodnett of Niagara Falls, Joseph Grant of

Buffalo, Lonnie Kinsey Jr. of Jamestown,Kanika Kinsey of Buffalo, Michelle

Kinsey of Buffalo, Zacchaeus Kinsey, and Demetrius Goldsmith both of Jamestown

and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ray Ray was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lonnie Kinsey Sr., and a

sister, Tracy Hooten. His grandparents, Ted Hodnett and Anna Washington, Calvin

and Lena Mae Leeper and his precious niece Nayla Hodnett and nephew Corbin

Kinsey.

Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 18, 2025, 1pm at Healing

Word Ministries 1006 W. 3rd St. Jamestown NY.
