Joseph R Walz, 85 of Jamestown passed away on October 22, 2025, at Heritage Park. He was born on August 10, 1940, in Jamestown a son of Phillip and Libby Trippi Walz.

After graduating from Jamestown High School Joe enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge Joe came back home to Jamestown and married his wife of over 50 years, Kathleen Baker Walz.

Joe worked for Jamestown Sterling as a Forman for over 30 years. After Sterling Joe worked at Heritage Park as an Activities Assistant.

Joe was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family going on countless trips. He loved to dance, play bingo and tinker with just about anything. He had a big heart and was always willing to help others. He will be deeply missed.

Joseph is survived by his sister, Vonda Walz, his children, Chris Walz and Jennifer (Cody Aten) Mabes, his grandchildren, Jessica (Andrew) Dies and Casey (Scott Miller) Mabes, his great grandchildren, Blake Penhollow, Henry Dies, Evelynn Miller, Isabella Miller, and Rydan Miller, and his cousin, Alice Engdahl.

Besides his Parents Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Baker Walz (2020), his siblings, Joyce Francis, Phillip Walz Jr. and Robert Walz and his great grandchild, Harper Dies.

A celebration of Joseph’s life will take place on Sunday October 26, 2025, from 2pm-4pm at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home 111 S Main St Jamestown, NY
