Carol “Doreen” Downey, 68 of Jamestown passed away October 25, 2023 at UPMC Hamot after a short illness. She was born December 26, 1954 in Bradford, PA to Robert Franklin Sr. and Thelma Coy.

Carol was a huge lover of animals. She enjoyed fishing and camping. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

Carol is survived by her sister, Eileen, her 3 grandchildren, Michael Foley, Melissa Elderkin and Addison Downey. Also surviving are several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her son, Justin Downey, her brother, Robert Franklin Jr., her sisters, Cindy Franklin and Patricia Franklin.

Visitation will be held Saturday November 4, 2023 from 1PM – 3PM at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 3PM in the funeral home.

Inurnment will be private.
