Joy Jolls McGilvery, 43, died unexpectedly on October 9, 2023, in Jamestown, New York. She was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on September 15, 1980. Her family moved to Warren, Pennsylvania in 1986. She attended Warren area schools.

Joy is survived by her three children Gracelyn, Jeannah and Kavenaugh McGilvery of Ozark, Alabama, her parents Linol (Mike) Jolls and Nancy Spetz Jolls of Ozark, Alabama, her brother Christian Jolls of Smyrna, Tennessee and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She had resided in Jamestown, New York for the past several years.

Joy was generous with her time. She loved cats and volunteered her time at a cat rescue. She loved cooking and often made meals for her friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed collecting vintage cookbooks. She was an avid Pokemon and Star Wars fan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday October 24 at the Warren Alliance Church located at 74 Kinzua Rd in Warren. The family will be available for visitation beginning at 10:45 with the service following at 12:00 noon.
