Obituary of David J McDonald

David J McDonald, 62 of Jamestown passed away May 3, 2020 at Heritage Park. He was born February 23, 1958 in Ireland, the son of William McDonald and Brigid Hewitt McDonald. David immigrated to the United States in 1960. David was a salesman by trade and also an outstanding musician. He was heavily involved in the community through his music. David donated his time and talent playing countless charity events and festivals. David was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and sober for 29 years. David was very high energy and enjoyed jogging, kayaking, swimming, and being with his many friends. He was always telling jokes to get a smile. David was history buff and a professor of useless facts. He had a big heart and always looked out for others. He will be deeply missed. David is survived by his daughter Fynn and his brother, Paul McDonald of NYC., Nicole Hummel to who David was a father figure to and grandfather figure to Spencer, Sullivan, and Sophie. David is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Francis McDonald. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a private family will be held Wednesday at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
