Sylvia Ann Stutzman, 90, of Ashville, peacefully passed away on Feb. 24, 2020, at Heritage Green. She was born January 31, 1930, in Williamsport, Pa., the daughter of Charles T. Hartman and Norma A. Flock. Sylvia graduated from Williamsport High School in 1948. She married her husband, Lester T. Stutzman on July 30, 1948. Sylvia worked at Grant’s Department Store and Fairbank’s Farms until her retirement. Sylvia is survived by her three sons: Les C. (Michael) of South Burlington, Vt., John of Ashville, N.Y., and Lance (Shannon) of Columbus, Ind.; four granddaughters: Cristy and Julie Stutzman of Jamestown, Rachael Cohen (Ross) of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Chelsea; six greatgrandchildren: Brandin Snyder, Joey Stutzman, Keegan O’Rourke, Logan Wagoner, Larissa Ciricionne and Kason Burger; and three great-great- grandchildren; Benton Stutzman, Abel Stutzman, and Gracie Stutzman. Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lester Thomas Stutzman (2012). Interment will be at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Swanton, Vt., at a later date.
