I was so so sad to hear of Margaret's passing. She was such a wonderful woman, with the best sense of humor.. she could find a way to smile and chuckle about any situation. I always loved how she made no bones about saying what she meant to say, with pure honesty, always considering of the needs of others. Margaret will always hold a very special place in my heart, and I will not soon forget her fierce independence, her love for her children, her grandchildren, and her cat. Not to mention to special mark she left wherever she went. <3

Margaret was a sweet woman whom I've known my entire life. She was more like family to me. My Grandma Ann loved her like a daughter just as our entire family loved her as well. She will be greatly missed.

To Marge's family, Paul and I we are so shocked and saddened to read of your loss. I haven't seen her in years, but always hoped I would. I was glad that I could pass on a "hello" to her through her granddaughters Olivia and Lindsay, when I ran into each of them this summer. I stopped in the St.James rectory often as part of my former job doing publicity for the church and Marge was a big help to me. It would take a lot of room to describe all she did clerically and otherwise ,but she had a good personality for doing her job. Besides being patient, kind, caring, intelligent, and wise, she was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the church and the surrounding community. Her love and pride in her family was foremost and it is apparent how her legacy is already being lived on in her children and grandchildren. She will long be remembered. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Peace and Love, Linda

I am so sorry for your loss. Marge was always a person you could count on for a story or great words of wisdom. I have thought a lot about her in the last few years but my health has stopped me from returning to Jamestown. Know that you are all in my prayers as she was every night. I know she will be glad to see her Mom and Dad and they will welcome her with open arms.

I worked at Freswsburg Rest Home for about 3 years on & off from Tanglewood. I enjoyed this woman immensely!!! She made me laugh- I loved her. Her kindness was so overwhelming sometimes, others in the same home bring sooo negativel--lost a friend this week, was looking at the obituary, I saw that Marge had left this world too. My heart hurts--I feel sooooo sad. God be with Tim DuVall & Marge Torres-my heart & soul are with you both tonight!!!! Peace of the Lord be with ou both now.... love yoou!

My grandmother Margaret had taught me so much before she let go! She is my sunshine my beloved companion, my heart. I enjoyed spending time with her since I was a baby. She helped raise me while my mother went to college, brought me to her work to stay after school. Took care of me when I was sick. When I became older I helped take care of her. I love her so much. I’m sure she has many memories with you and apologize for your loss as well as mine.

Margaret and I grew up together on Water Street with many members of our wonderful Italian family. I have spoken with her over the years and always on her birthday. She always called me on my birthday. I know she is happy with her family in heaven and will always have a special spot in my heart. With love, Cathy
