Jamie Charles Osborne (Jay), age 45, of 207 4th St. passed away Thursday August 3, 2017, after a long battle with liver disease in Heritage Park Skilled Nursing Home surrounded by his family.
Jay was born October 22, 1971 in Jamestown NY, to the late Julie Ann Pierce and Budd Osborne, Jamestown.
Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Julie Ann Pierce and his grandparents Emery and Betty Pierce.
Working construction was Jay's work of choice, outdoors was where he loved to be. Fishing, camping, and enjoying what mother nature had to offer and spending time with his three girls was his heart's joy.
Playing his guitar was Jay's way of feeling free, he was a lover of all music, he said you could find the meaning to the song if you really listen. Watching football (Buffallo Bills) and Nascar Racing (Earnhardt Jr.) was something he enjoyed doing with family and friends. Jay was known to many as "Uncle Jay" as he was kind, understanding and had a sense of humor. His nieces and nephews and friends and Family understood, a "Dark humor" as some would call it, but it was "JAY". His heart and mind was and always will be with his three girls, the love he had for them filled and completed him.
Jay is survived by his three daughters: Julie Osborne (Kathy O'Shell) of Palm Coast, Fl., Autumn and Brook Osborne (Jody Weise) of Jamestown; three sisters: Sherry (Wayne) Wright of Sinclairville, Laurie (Bob) Rhodes Godich of South Dakota; and Janell (Jessy) Rowe Fisher of Tennessee; his long-time companion, Ginger Mink; and several nieces and nephews. Jay will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday August 11, 2017 at the New Creation Assembly of God Church. The Pastor Bill Blair will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
