Obituary of Marshall R Patterson

Marshall R. Patterson, 71, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa. He was born in Olean, NY on December 10, 1945 the son of Carl and Marian Silsby Patterson. He served in the US Air Force from 1967 to 1970 and when he returned to Jamestown, he was employed by several employers. He was a devoted father to his children, Frank (Blanch) Patterson, Sykesville, Pa., Becky (Greg) Peck, Warren, Pa., Tina (Ron) Jackson, Lakewood, Kenny (Andy) Patterson, Buffalo, Stewart (Donna) Patterson and Chad Patterson, Jamestown, Laura (Wes) Paulisick, Falconer, eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two brothers, Frank Patterson, Kennedy and Wesley Patterson, Jamestown, his wife, Diane Patterson, Northeast, Pa., seven sisters, Melrose Gendron, Betty and Wilma Patterson, Joyce Frye and Carol Fardink, Jamestown, Cora Cooper, TX and Anna Taylor, Gerry. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Silsby, Carl and Clair Patterson and by three sisters, Mairibell Carlson, Sarah Macri and Marian Patterson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Chadwick Patterson. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at New Creation Assembly of God Church. Rev. Al Meyers, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends for two hours prior to the funeral service in the church.
