Obituary of Josephine Basile Parasiliti

Josephine Basile Parasiliti, 88 of Jamestown, died at 1:10 p.m. Friday (January 20, 2017) in Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing surrounded by her family. She was born in Jamestown on May 6, 1928 the daughter of Anthony and Sarah Canfora Basile. Josephine was in charge of the mailing department at Jamestown Stamp Co. for fifteen years. She was also employed as a nurse's aide at the former Jamestown General Hospital and was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She loved to bake and cook for her family. She is survived by her husband, Ross Parasiliti, whom she married on June 10, 1961 in St. James Catholic Church, two sons, Ross (Michelle) Parasiliti Jr., Plano, TX. and Robert Parasiliti, Jamestown, a sister, Mary Basile, Jamestown, a granddaughter, Kari Ann Abramson, Jamestown, a niece, Michelle Basile, Voorhees, N.J. and a nephew, Sam Enserro, Chicopee, Ma. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Joseph Basile and by two sisters. Clara Enserro and Catherine Galati. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Mausolem. Visitation will not be observed.
