Milton H. Osborne, 89, of Jamestown, died Saturday (January 7, 2017) in UPMC Chautauqua WCA. He was born in Panama, N.Y. on October 6, 1927 the son of Walter and Jessie Ostrander Osborne. Milton was a sign painter and had worked for Hanson signs and Peterson Neon. He was also self employed and refinished antique furniture and had been employed at Matco Tool. He served in the US Navy during WWII and earned the Victory Medal, American Theater Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Medal. He is survived by two sons, Ed (Holly) Osborne, Niobe, Wally Osborne, Panama, three daughters, Eunice Crissman, Kiantone, Judy (Wayne) McIntyre, Fl. and Cindy (Ray) Tanner, Ashville, N.Y., fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Spontaneo Osborne, whom he married on December 6, 1947 and who died on September 23, 2004 and a son, Cyril Osborne. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Renovation Baptist Church, 1633 Martin Rd., Jamestown. The Rev. Edwin Attaway, pastor, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Ivory Cemetery, Frewsburg. The family will be present to receive friends in the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
