Lottie E. Dudzic Caruso, 88, of One Elm St., Jamestown, died at 3:12 p.m. Monday (August 2, 2010) in Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was born in Oil City, Pa. on September 28, 1921 the daughter of Joseph & Antonina Strezeczywick Dudzic. Lottie graduated from The Assumption Catholic Private School in Oil City in 1936 and was a 1940 graduate of Oil City High School. She was employed in the meat department of the former Rockman's Super Duper in the Southside Plaza for fifteen years. She received a life membership in the New York State PTA for her many years of dedicated involvement in Rogers Elementary School where she was a past vice president of the music parents. She also served as a Brownie Leader and Girl Scout Leader and she was a Boy Scout Den Mother. Lottie was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she especially enjoyed her flower garden. Survivors include her husband of sixty one years, Antonio J. Caruso whom she married on July 23, 1949 in St. James Catholic Church, three sons Michael (Sharon) Caruso, Bemus Point,; Ralph (Brenda) Caruso, Lakewood and Joseph (Debbie) Caruso, Falconer, two daughters Adeline (Bruce) Brill, Lutz, Fl. and Antoinette Caruso, Jamestown, ten grandchildren Jeffrey & Jared Caruso, Bemus Point, Amanda Erlandson and Lori Caruso, Lakewood, Kevin Brill, Marietta, Ga., Robert Brill, Fremont, Ca., Amy Panebianco, Oro Valley, Az., Kari Abramson, Jamestown, Chelsea & Brandon Caruso, Falconer, three great grandchildren Owen & Finn Erlandson, Lakewood and Cambria Fiorella, Bemus Point, three brothers Charles Dudzic, Tucson, Az., Max (Helen) Dudzic, Oil City, Pa. and Frank (Betty) Dudzic, Cornelius, N.C., two sisters Helen Seifer and Susie (Richard) Cotterman, Oil City, Pa.. She was preceded in death by three brothers Matthew, Stanley & John Dudzic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor of St. James Catholic Church and the Rev. Msgr. Richard Seifer, pastor of St. Catherines Catholic Church, DuBois, Pa., will be the celebrants. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m..
