Anthony "Tojo" Cordosi, 79, of 303 West Fifth St., Jamestown, died at 4:00 a.m. Friday (May 14, 2010) in the WCA Hospital. He was born in Mt. Morris, New York on August 9, 1930 the son of Anthony and Rose Longo Cordosi. Anthony was employed as a laborer at Blackstone Corp. and previously was employed as a press operator at Crescent Tool for twenty three years and in earlier years, he was employed at Proto Tool. He served with the US Army from 1951 to 1953 and was stationed in Korea.His memberships include the Vietnam Veterans Club, VFW, Eagles Club and the Busti Men's Club. Tojo was an avid fisherman, hunter, cribbage player and golfer. He is survived by a son Gary M. Cordosi and a daughter Gina M. Perrin, Jamestown and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers William, Joseph, Ignatius and Phillip Cordosi and by two sisters Helen Vicanti and Josephine Raffa and an infant sister Mary Cordosi and a nephew Anthony "Sonny" Cordosi. The funeral and committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services.The Rev. Darrell Duffy pastor of St. James Catholic Church will officiate. Inurnment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received for two hours prior to the funeral service. View condolences for Anthony "Tojo" Cordosi.
