Rev. Albert L. Conklin, 80, of Falconer, went to be with his lord and savior on Monday (August 28, 2017) at St. Vincent Health System, Erie, Pa.
He was born in Tidioute, PA on June 28, 1937 the son of Frank Sr. and Agnes Beardsley Conklin.
Al was a minister for over fifty three years. He was also a woodsman for over forty years and was employed for Canteen Vending for seventeen years.
He served in the US Navy and was a member of Full Gospell Church, Warren, Pa.
Al loved his family and loved to play his harmonica, pitch horseshoes and bowl.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Vanguilder Conklin, whom he married on November 8, 1958 in Ross Mills Church, eight children, David (Robin), Albert, Christopher (Tammy) and Mark (Linda) Conklin, Lynette (Grover) Lanphere, Jamestown, Carolyn (Brian) Culver, Ellington, Ella Graff, Williamsville, NY and Amy Hunzinger, Buffalo, NY, thirty eight grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, five brothers, Russell Conklin, Youngsville, PA., Robert (Louise) Conklin, FL., Frank (Linda) Conklin, Pittsburgh, PA., Kenneth (Sarah) Conklin, Irvine, PA. and Walter (Chris) Conklin, Hondo, TX.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Joseph, Gerald, Richard, Arthur and Buddy Conklin as well as two infant brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (September 5, 2017) at the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. His son, Albert Conklin will officiate along with Rev. Loretta Knapp of Full Gospell Church, Warren, PA.
The family will be present to receive friends for two hours prior to the funeral service.
